The Philosophy Of Beer

Forums:

Philosophy is a very interesting class in school time, when having the philosophy class, everybody will be very excited. Not because all the students love to learn this course, but for the examples and the trials the professor showed during the class.

Recording the philosophy class, the most memorable one is the philosophy of beer, which made me laugh for a long time and get the detail exactly.

That day, Philosophy professor stood on the podium and took out a glass jar about 3 liters with nothing in it, this jar is very beautiful and looked cute, all the students were even afraid that if the professor was not careful the jar would be broken. After he filled it with small stones which are about 5 cm in diameter, and then he asked the students:

 “is the jar full?”

"Yes." The students replied.

So the Professor took out a small bag of green beans and poured into the glass jar, gently shook it. Of course, the green bean filled the gap between the rocks. The professor asked: "is the jar full?"

Students laughed and replied: "Yes."

Professor then took out a box filled with sand from the table, the put the sand into glass jars, sand completely fill the void. He again asked the students: "is the jar full?"

"Yes, the full!" The students answered.

Professor smiled and poured out two cans of beer into the glass jar, the sand absorbed all the beer until the last drop. Students see here all laughed.

At this moment the test was over and all the students looked at the professor with curious eyes, they all did not the get the meaning of this test, hoping that the professor will explain it. But this time the professor gave a difficult task for the students, and let them to guess the meaning of the test.

One student said, it meant the jar was unlimited capacity , another student show the different opinion, it stands for that all the thing can be put into one thing if you had skills. All the opinions came out, and some were near to the truth, some were very ridiculous. After heard these different views, the professor could not stop to smiling and decided to give the correct purpose of this test.

"Now, I want you to understand is: glass jar is just on behalf of your life, small stones stand for the most important things in life: family, health, friends, and kids. They can make your life full and beautiful, Despite the loss of other things, but they will stay with you life.” Professor continued, “And green beans are your job, house, and car. The sand is on behalf of other small things. If firstly I had the glass jar filled with sand, and that there is no other place for green beans and stones. Similarly, in your life if some small things have spent all your time and effort, then you will have no time and effort to do the most important things. You should take time to do things that bring you happiness: play with your children, taking the time to your partner, and your friends. Also you need to often have to find some time to work, do some cleaning, repair and clean the car. "

Professor was ready to pack up for it was time to off class, a student raised his hands and asked: "What is the beer stand for?"

Professor smiled and said: "I'm glad you asked me this question. I do just want to prove it to you that no matter how tight your life is, you can always find the time to drink beer." And in order to reward this student’s wonderful questionFree Web Content, the professor gave the beautiful glass jar  to him.
