FEHU
KEYWORDS: SATISFACTION, REWARDS, SELF-RULE
Virtues: Stability and Motivation
Daily Theme: FEHU is known as the Rune of FULFILLMENT. Take time to deep probe the meaning of profit and gain (in all ways) in your life. Is it wealth and material possessions you require for your well-being or self-rule and growth of a will? Also review which parts of your life you wish to conserve. During this time, vigilance and continual mindfulness are a must. However if good fortune manifests for you, share that goodwill with others. Fehu reminds us that comfort is not a bad thing. If we’ve worked for it and earned it honestly, we can justifiably relax and enjoy our just rewards. Fehu reminds us that we need to ensure that we have consolidated the gains we have achieved or we lose them through neglect. You are being challenged to determine whether or not the balance you create in your life is the balance you want to have. Are your actions truly taking you towards the happiness you feel you deserve? Are you intentionally stopping yourself from achieving the goals you set?
Today, crystal practitioners and advocates should work with Moss Agate (expansion, new beginnings, inspires new ideals).
Lunar Right Action Aspects: If your buttons are pushed today, do not over-react. Be aware that problems are most likely connected to judgment and blurred messaging. As pressures release re-build confidentiality.

In this book, Jurgens Pieterse brings these runes to life for the modern reader. With warmth and clarity, he explores each rune in depth. Find at Amazon.

MORALS AND MISSIVES

Advice From La Strega …
It is wise to acknowledge that the Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth. To say otherwise is ego and not wisdom. The goal of life is to live in harmony with nature. If you look deeply into nature, you will gain an understanding of everything that exists. If you can adopt the pace of nature, you will find her secret is patience. With patience you can accomplish all. If your life is not working – change it. How? Focus on what IS working. What nurtures you? What small thing gives you joy? Don’t tell me it’s nothing. Don’t tell me you no longer care. When you do that, it lets me know you are lazy and have allowed yourself to slip into a toxic space. Examine it. You have a choice. You have always had a choice – To do or not do – To accept or reject. Why are you accepting what is dark within you and without you and denying what is light and fresh? It is time to align. Only you know what that is. Push out from the inner you. Stop moaning and bitching. Change what can be changed, work with what cannot. What do you want to learn? What do you want to share? What do you want in your spiritual practices? When and how do you connect with your others? Seek the balance even if you have been leaning heavily in one direction for a while. Care for your body as well as your mind and spirit. Let your inner self express itself. As the expression goes, ‘dance as if no one was looking’. Learn to read signs and omens in nature. There is magic within them. There is magic within you. Use it.

NATURE’S DAILY CHOICE

RACCOON
The raccoon represents problem solving. They are an interesting mix of intelligence, resourcefulness mixed with a general penchant for getting into mischief. The clever raccoon offers lessons about the importance of adaptability in any situation and taking the time to look at the entire picture, not just what one wants to see. The most recognizable, physical trait of the raccoon is its mask. It is important to remember no one is exactly as he or she seems. The trickster aspect of the Raccoon can warn against hidden agendas or the need to be more aware of potential deception, either in yourself or others. This animal’s mask is symbolic of humans’ ability to adapt or shape shift in different situations. Masks have been used for centuries by every society to achieve altered states. The art of mask making has been has existed the world around and has been used for celebration, ceremonies and magic rituals. Once behind a mask, a person can become someone or something else. The mask helps us change who and what we are to who and what we want to be. The trickster aspect of the Raccoon can warn against hidden agendas or the need to be more aware of potential deception, either in yourself or others. The Raccoon, with its reputation for scavenging and sometimes making a mess of what it encounters, symbolizes the complex feeling of resentment. Known for raiding trash cans and foraging in human spaces, Raccoons are often seen as unwelcome visitors, causing annoyance due to their persistence and adaptability. Just as a Raccoon rummages through discarded items, resentment often stirs up emotions we might have thought we’d buried, surfacing old grievances and unresolved conflicts. Raccoons wear a distinctive “mask,” which serves as a reminder of how resentment can disguise our true feelings, causing us to hide behind a defensive facade. Resentment can feel like carrying a weight we’re unwilling to release, a burden that we continue to revisit rather than resolve. Raccoons are also known for their dexterous paws, able to grasp and manipulate objects skillfully. This adaptability speaks to how we might unintentionally “hold on” to resentment, replaying situations and clinging to the belief that we were wronged. Over time, this can harden into bitterness, making it challenging to move forward or experience genuine connection with others. To release resentment, we can take a lesson from the Raccoon’s need to scavenge in new locations for fresh resources. Instead of remaining in a loop of revisiting old grievances, we can focus on seeking new perspectives and acknowledging what we’ve learned from the experience. By allowing ourselves to explore forgiveness or, at the very least, acceptance, we begin to free ourselves from resentment’s grasp. Raccoons are the totems of the curious and the problem solvers. Those who identify with the raccoon take careful and calculated risks. Like raccoons, you must take the time to survey situations from every angle.

CONTEMPLATION STATION

External Effects of Thoughts and Feelings

It may seem incredible, but every day your thoughts and feelings shape what happens to you. The world you experience reflects back what is going on inside your own head and heart. People who are always complaining attract more things to complain about. People who are always stressed attract stressful situations. People who are always angry attract angering experiences. If you start your day with a bad attitude, you might just end up having a bad day. But if you start the day with a good attitude, more often than not you will have a good day. People who have a positive mindset—maybe because they see the good in others, appreciate the beauty around them, have hope for the future, and try to make the best out of all situations will attract more experiences to feel good about. You might wonder why thoughts and feelings inside us influence what happens outside us. The short answer is that reality is one big dream we are all sharing, a dream created by all of our minds together. In your nightly dreams, it is your mind creating everything you experience, and what affects your mind affects the dream. Likewise, the thoughts and feelings you have while awake influence the part of reality that your mind is continuously creating. The world revolves around you, but it also revolves around every other living being. Think of yourself as a radio and your thoughts and feelings as the tuning mechanism. Frequency is how fast something vibrates, and the energy coming out of a radio tower is vibrating at a certain rate. Each radio station broadcasts on its own frequency. As you change the dial, the radio becomes sensitive to a different frequency and therefore tunes into a different station. Your mind, etheric, and astral bodies tune you into different “stations” of experience. When you are wallowing in negative thoughts and feelings, you are sensitive to low frequencies and tune into a station “playing” that kind of experience. But when you shift your frequency to something more positive and aware, the station changes toward experiences that are also more positive. When you become aware of some possibility, you shine upon it the spotlight of your awareness. This singles it out, makes it freeze in its tracks, and puts it in your hands to deal with. Notice how trouble happens when you least expect it, and when you learn to expect it next time it fails to happen again. This shows that anticipating negative possibilities prevents them from manifesting and that being unaware allows them to happen more easily. The same goes for positive possibilities—maybe you are certain you aced a test only to find out you barely passed, or maybe you win a prize from a contest only when you have forgotten all about it or never thought you might win. Anticipating something decreases its chances of manifesting. So learn to become aware of possible problems in order to freeze them, while avoiding anticipating the positive things. Ahead of you in time is a constantly shifting spread of probable futures. These are possible experiences yet to occur. Most probable futures are not set in stone because your thoughts, feelings, and choices continually affect their likelihood; a change you make now can change which of these is most likely to happen next. As long as the future stays open like this, you can use thoughts and feelings to shape them. But as soon as a future becomes absolutely certain, then you must deal with it through preparation and action. So there are two ways of handling experiences: by shaping them before they are certain, and by dealing with them directly once they become unavoidable.
