Galactic Federation Of Light - History Of A Hoax

Forums:

The Galactic Federation of Light grew from the combination of two old hoaxes (actually, one of them is an old "belief" that has since been proven wrong).

Back in the days before astronomers understood what a galaxy was, it was thought that our solar system was in orbit around the Pleiades star cluster (this was back around 1850). The main star was said to be Alcyone and this became the principal "centre of orbit" for all habitable systems, in a belief that was common back in those days.

In 1949, a German dude (name = Hesse?) started or popularized a hoax called the Photon Belt. This was a region of energy that Earth would cross every once in a while (thousands of years apart) causing us to become "enlightened".

The two ideas merged sometime between the 1950s and the early 1980s and became one idea: the Alcyone Plane. As our system orbits the Pleiades (which we now know is false), we could cross this plane. The system was such that all other systems with civilizations (8 of them) would cross the plane at the same time period and we would all become aware of each other.

This is when we would become "enlightened" as to our belonging to a larger cosmic family. By the time this myth arrived in North America (around 1984), the idea was called the Photon Belt and (according to the original hoax) we entered it in May 1997. As we become "enlightened" we would join the Galactic Federation of Light, grouping the other 8 civilizations (including the Sirians, who are supposedly the most advanced, and the Greys, the aliens who told Nancy Leider about Planet-X which will destroy us on... May 13, 2003).

The hoax reached its climax when Blossom Goodchild announced, in August 2008, that large spacecrafts from the Galactic Federation would come to Earth in October 2008 and hover over all major cities, just to show that they exist. Then they would warn our leaders that it was time for the enlightenment and that we should prepare ourselves to join the Federation.

On the morning of the predicted date, Blossom suddenly announced that there had been a change of plan, that a new date would be announced. Unfortunately, she (or her team) could not reach all of their accomplices so that a group in Shanghai actually posted the "live" videos of giant spacecrafts over their city, on YouTube. It took a few hours to have them removed, but the damage was done.

Blossom had to move away from the limelight for a time. She is back in action.
