Daily Theme: HAGALAZ is known as the Rune of DISRUPTION. Every now and then a little shake-up of the status quo is a good thing. It makes us appreciate what we already have and helps us to be aware of changes that can make things even better. Do we like it? No. But we can quickly learn to appreciate it. As a Rune of Elemental disruption, there may be events that are entirely NOT under your control. Stay with the program because as you gradually come to your senses you will see where change needs to happen. A relationship, be it personal or business may fail. Consider it significant or even a blessing. It needs to go. Hagalaz need not be painful, sometimes unexpected actions or activities are a good thing. The unexpected can hold miracles within itself as well. The unexpected can be a positive aspect. The unexpected need not be an earthquake or a tragedy. Disruption can be created in positive ways too. Sometimes we have become “rutted” in our lifestyle and need a good push to get out of the rut. So, move it!

It is wise to acknowledge that the Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth. To say otherwise is ego and not wisdom. The goal of life is to live in harmony with nature. If you look deeply into nature, you will gain an understanding of everything that exists. If you can adopt the pace of nature, you will find her secret is patience. With patience you can accomplish all. If your life is not working – change it. How? Focus on what IS working. What nurtures you? What small thing gives you joy? Don’t tell me it’s nothing. Don’t tell me you no longer care. When you do that, it lets me know you are lazy and have allowed yourself to slip into a toxic space. Examine it. You have a choice. You have always had a choice – To do or not do – To accept or reject. Why are you accepting what is dark within you and without you and denying what is light and fresh? It is time to align. Only you know what that is. Push out from the inner you. Stop moaning and bitching. Change what can be changed, work with what cannot. What do you want to learn? What do you want to share? What do you want in your spiritual practices? When and how do you connect with your others? Seek the balance even if you have been leaning heavily in one direction for a while. Care for your body as well as your mind and spirit. Let your inner self express itself. As the expression goes, ‘dance as if no one was looking’. Learn to read signs and omens in nature. There is magic within them. There is magic within you. Use it.

The Cardinal has many meanings mostly Divine. They represent vitality, energy, and spiritual strength while providing protection and connection with the spiritual realm. They clarify the power of the voice and grant keen insight, spiritual wisdom, and adaptability. They signify a symbol of zest for life that includes vitality and rejuvenation. In spiritual and cultural traditions worldwide, it represents our departed loved ones being with us, peering above to let you know they are by your side. They encourage people to stick with their spiritual road and encourage them that things are in perfect line with our highest fate and life mission. They bring emotional and spiritual healing, leading to growth within the individual and helping them in times of trouble with a clear mindset. A cardinal can mean that significant change is on the horizon, signaling a shift from old ways to new beginnings. We all have the capacity to dream. It is a power we should definitely tap into. Our dreams are where we find the drive to live each day with purpose. Our purpose. Our Divine Purpose. I am not speaking of the dreams dreamnt in sleep. I am talking of what we desire for our waking hours. Where do we want to be? What do we want to do? What kind of person do we want to be? How do we want to live?
Once we dream all of this up, then we are faced with the question of how do we get there.
First and foremost, you have to have confidence in yourself, and you have to have confidence in the Universe. It will always support you on your path. With that knowing you can go in confidence. Take a risk, but instead of seeing it as a risk, choose to see it as an opportunity.
Trust in those who encourage you, let them help. For it is together, with the right people, that we can tap into a power bigger than ourselves. Don’t bother with the ones who discourage you and try to keep you from your path. Only let them in on your plan after it is already finished, then there is no way for them to tell you that you can’t do it.
Make sure you are dreaming big. The mere thought of your dream should blow you away, at least a little bit. Remove any thoughts of limitation. There is nothing you can’t do. Let it come from a place of love. Harm no one. You may encounter those who take offense or get upset about what you do. This is their issue, not yours. As long as you aim to bring your light and your gifts to the world in a loving way, stand in that confidence that you are doing what is right for you.
If you are not sure what is right for you. Make a list of what you enjoy doing, things you want to do, and things you are good at. Examine them and see what you come up with.
Be who you were meant to be and you will set the world on fire.
