For four years I observed half of the country entrenched in hatred and to this day still stands in that condition. After the 2020 election I watched as the other half of the country became entrenched in hatred until all people hated. It is as though hatred has given people a reason to live ... a stimulus ... a high. As long as it exists people will be controlled and in the end will pay dearly. It has shamefully become a Collective Choice. It isn't anything new. Mankind often does ridiculous things - brings about destruction so it can try something else. While contemplating this, I came across this passage:

In a significant message, the Mother once remarked:

“Forward, forever forward!
At the end of the tunnel is the light...
At the end of the fight is the victory!”*

The tunnels through which humanity passes from time to time, blinding though they may seem, are actually meant to take us through a shortcut along the long winding evolutionary curve. It is a passage that passes through the heart of darkness but one that brings us eventually even more quickly towards the Light. The tunnel is blinding and disorienting and often one may end up hitting against dead walls or else even turning back in the hope of finding the safe ground again. But the safe ground has shifted and to return to the point where it had entered the tunnel is often to lose the goal, at least to take a longer more difficult road towards the Future. The wisdom that built light and darkness, day and night is also the wisdom that dug tunnels as a shortcut to cross through the night.

During such passages we must remember that the light before one enters the tunnel of human evolution is different from the light that one finds at the end of it. In this sense, all challenges of life are at bottom evolutionary challenges and whether we rise up to the challenge or fall back to the same old ways depends upon the choices we make. We may choose the same old familiar methods, in which case we do not pass through the tunnel to the other side but return to where we began because the darkness was too intimidating. But instead, if we take on the challenge that life poses and press always towards the future, a future born out of man’s creative impulse then we evolve. For this man was born, to find new ways, to discover new possibilities, to break into and conquer new grounds, in one word, to evolve the godhead struggling in his breast in terms of his material existence.
